Big Jon Sports
The Captain's Pak Electric Downrigger
The double rod reinforced boom can be set straight back from the transom or turned out to either side of the boat to allow a greater spread to your lures.
The New 12 volt, sealed “High Torque” motor with an adjustable disc clutch will retrieve a 16 pound cannonball at 120 feet per minute. Smooth, adjustable, fiber pad clutch system. The 2, 3, or 4 foot sectional boom tips up and locks to make setting your lines a snap.
The Captain’s Pak® comes complete with a ball cradle, 2 Multi-Set® rod holders, a swivel base, a footage counter, 200 feet of stainless steel cable, a 4 in. x 4 in. mounting plate (with mounting bolts), and line release. Like all Big Jon Sports® Downriggers, it is precision machined from “Aircraft Grade Aluminum” and given a protective, anodized finish.
To mount in the Big Jon track system, get one of our track pedestals, TKSTN2, TKSTN4, TKSTN6.

I’ve used Big Jon downriggers since 1980. Solid reliable performance. Great products at affordable prices. Highest quality riggers on the market.
Great down riggers , fast retrieve and smooth. Assembly of the units , Well they should offer some kind of instructions for what goes where , none what so ever, and some parts you don't need if you use a track system, I would be more than happy to do a set for them. I'm very mechanical minded, but took a few calls as to what goes where. But the units are great, a former user of Proos these are great, only one thing, well two, I would like to see, the up-down switch changed or modified, when your going up you have to be careful to push it to neutral very carefully, or it goes back to down , it's just a rocker switch. The other is instructions. Great job guys, and made in the U.S.A. YEA
I’ve been using Big John Downriggers on my Charter boat “Reel Fun” in Traverse City, Mi. for 40 years now. Big Jon are the BEST you can buy!
The two new Capt Paks are replacing two sportsman riggers that have been active on two boats and they are dated 6/93 they still work just old, the counters are tired.
